A dark, distinctive blend for those who love salt liquorice. Full-bodied black tea meets liquorice root, aniseed and whole star anise, while small salt pearls add a distinct saltiness reminiscent of classic Nordic salt liquorice.
Liquorice root has a history stretching back thousands of years. In China, it has long been valued and used in traditional practices — accounts include the use of liquorice extract in Buddhist ceremonies. The sweet root was also well known and highly prized in ancient Egypt and Greece.
The name liquorice derives from the Greek glykyrrhiza, meaning “sweet root”, and refers to the root’s naturally intense sweetness. Here, it meets the aromatic notes of aniseed and a distinct saltiness in a modern blend with Nordic character.
The result is a full-bodied, aromatic tea that brings sweetness, spice and saltiness together in one cup. A tea for the liquorice lover — dark, richly flavoured and a little unexpected.
